Sometimes I don't understand why people like (harmless) things. Then I try to learn why they do... but whether I get it or not I leave them to it? It's fine??

infuriates me when news reports assign an action/intent/emotion to "Russia" or "China" or "America" [sic], rather than its ruling class, not just because it promotes nationalist, often racist thinking, but because the nation-state is the wrong level of analysis for what's happening.

A palm size embroidery hoop with cloth and a newly started partially stitched scene, laying on top of the pattern; between the two you can tell it will be a sun over purple mountains

Waiting on more beads for my shawl so for evening needle craft, cross stitch! A buddy and I decided to add it to our craft repertoire this year and got matching kits :)
