@cookseytalbott
I am a photographic artist, student of Ansel, in Northern Ca. I like the natural world and do a lot of rocks, landforms and trees… I am into public art and creating and facilitating street level art outreach programs.

I like driving down California route 25, the airline highway. Lots of hills and when you are lucky some super blooms.
I think we will be lucky this year…

Nice place, I come here every green season. Little creek and hawks cruising for burgers…
Cows and an oak tree
I found a good use for AI…
I used it to write shell scripts to make Image Magik to do my rote image processing.
In this case convert a full res tif into a 2350px jpg.
I used Claude and it has helped my workflow greatly, now I actually have an organized collection of jpg’s on my phone :)
Stretched canvas print of trees and hills.
Here’s the finished version of the last print I showed, ready to hang!
Stretched canvas print
Here’s the finished ready to hang print, it came out well!!!
I get to pick up the stretched print today, I will deliver it mid-week and hopefully we can see the result!
This is a nice sized Vertorama, 32x64 which will yield a finished 28x60 gallery wrapped canvas.
I used handheld open flash to illuminate the foreground area, it really brought out the texture and spikes on the rocks.
That stuff is made to hurt!
Thanks! DV is a great place for night skies!!!
Devils Golf Course…

This is a 48” version of that image. I drove for 4+ hours to get to the lost coast and arrived in a rainstorm. I had a really excellent rain coat, hat, plastic bags and compressed air so I was able to function, it was great! I stayed out in the rain for over an hour and got some good shots.
Cliff in Big Sur with bright red ice plant and fog.
Big Sur…
A magical place where the water struggles against the rock and the bright colored succulents run wild.
Water always wins but it’s a long game.
