I'm stoked that Bradford made Time Out's list. There's no doubt the city has an exciting year ahead.

Editors - I grew up just outside of Bradford and would love to cover any BD-related stories for you!

What an insightful experience at Sajos, the Sami Parliament in Inari.

For just €10 (!!), you get an hour's guided tour, including a sneak peek at the conference room where elected members debate. It's fascinating to learn about the voting system and how the SP informs the Finnish government.

Five years ago, I visited Helsinki's Allas Sea Pool and couldn't build up the courage to do the cold plunge. Today, I did.

Aside from the personal win, though, has anyone actually got past the point of "Oh my God, I'm freezing" and enjoyed the cold?

Yours sincerely,

A girl still shivering

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm always preaching the power of options and finding ways that work for you. Travel might be my first love, but I'm always willing to embark on a tangent for financial and education-related stories!

Not convinced this is the killer slogan the marketing people intended.

"How was Greece?"
"Not really a holiday."

Mind you every travel journalist should get it put on a T shirt

It was a snowy start and quick feed for the horses in between client briefs this morning!

I don't quite dare get my hopes up for a white UK Christmas. But it's been convenient dusting off the thermals ready for my trip to Lapland in a couple of weeks.
