If its anything like in Canada, they -always- almost as if by default deny the first submission. It's like they figure "if youre in serious/actual need, you'll resubmit/appeal and anyone who isnt will give up after the first 'No.'"

Yes, I know im reading way more than is intended here, but that was the immediate vibe I picked up from the piece on first impression before I read your corresponding remarks. <.< >.> n.n

I dunno, aside from maybe cleaning up minor details, I think this one is pretty perfect as it is. It reads to me like the Persian is more detailed and the meowths deliberately left in a more sketchy and faceless state because they're subservient, as if to the Persian, their identities don't exist.
