Things Republicans HATE being reminded about:
1. Slavery
2. Native Americans
3. The actual words that Jesus said
Everytime I open Bluesky, I am bombarded with The Horrors and have to close it again for several months #whatevertheoppositeofpartyintheusais
Minimizing the window where I read about how our world is a joke and we're at the mercy of megalomaniacal evil perverts. Logging on to the work zoom. "Heyyyy I'm good! How are you?"
Itβs not a question of whether you agree with Jimmy Kimmel.
When someone uses their government position to threaten speech they don't like, that undermines the First Amendment and our entire democracy.
Everyone should care about thisβno matter what your political view is.
After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesnβt like.
RFK Jr should be impeached. Pass it on.

When does the βgolden ageβ start?
GOP: this bill is fucking terrible. Itβs going to kill people, explode the deficit, and completely kill the renewable energy market in the US.
Also GOP: so anyway, hereβs why Iβm voting for the bill
Weird thing for a Republican congressman to be celebrating but at least he's being honest
Big fan of democracy but we'll have to admit it's an L of historic proportions to get subverted and destroyed not by some strategic genius but by possibly the dumbest man on earth

Iβm angry. But we stay in the fight β not because itβs easy, but because itβs the right fight.
Congratulations to the GOP for just losing the midterms.
If a bill is so bad that you have to exempt entire states from its consequences to win the votes you needβjust don't pass the bill!
Why do people in Washington state deserve Medicaid & SNAP cuts, but others don't?
This is plain wrong, and it's just no way to legislate.
Itβs a terrible bill. It will literally kill people. The most vulnerable among us will suffer as the wealthiest benefit. Itβs perverse. I wish there were something I could do. But alas, I am only a U.S. Senator from Alaska whose βnoβ vote would kill the bill. So I voted yes. You get it.
It even sounds nicer than βbig beautiful billβ because every word is a single syllable π©
Why are reframing as the βbig ugly billβ when the βbig BAD billβ was right there?
The "big, ugly bill" is going to fire 20,000 health care workers in Kentucky. That's 20,000 people who won't be able to pay rent, afford groceries or care for their families.
This isn't something folks can "get over." Raise your voice and demand to stop this harmful bill.
Theyβre planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida.
If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.
The Supreme Court issued a stay, effectively ruling, for now, that the Constitution no longer applies, at least not to immigrants. Fast-track deportations with no opportunity for judicial review violate the fundamental principle of due process, especially for people already on U.S. soil.
