I am thrilled we're staying on daylight savings time.
It's how I've had to get out of bed every winter during standard time. I'm thrilled to be getting the extra daylight later in the day from now on.
Hurrah!
Hurrah!!
I'm no fancy political consultant, but, hey, if you're in Dem comms, you should notice that Fox News panicked over Trump wearing a cheap Trump merch baseball cap to receive the bodies of soldiers he got killed for no reason he can articulate, and you should absolutely lean into that.
Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, Greenland, Canada, and on and on and on. Lindsey Graham says they are βmarching through the world.β
They donβt care how many US soldiers they get killed. Meanwhile, theyβre building concentration camps at home for Americans to die in. What will it take for people to wake up?
Collage of portraits and historical photographs featuring several women arranged against a light background. At the upper left is a pencil portrait of Charlotte Small with braided hair and a headscarf. To the upper right are smaller portraits including Barbara Frum speaking into a radio microphone and Maud Abbott in an academic gown. In the center are colour and black-and-white portraits of Michelle Douglas in a Canadian Armed Forces uniform and Judy LaMarsh wearing glasses and a pearl necklace. Along the lower section are Carrie Best reading a newspaper titled βThe Clarion,β Kim Campbell wearing medals in a formal portrait, Hide Hyodo Shimizu teaching two children in front of a chalkboard reading βHastings Park,β and Bobbie Rosenfeld seated with medals and a trophy. On the right side is a large image of Mary Two-Axe Earley gesturing while speaking, wearing glasses and a large pendant necklace. A faint βCanadian History Ehxβ logo appears near the center of the collage.
It is International Women's Day.
There have been many, many amazing women who have shaped Canada's history.
I have chosen to feature ten of those women.
These are their amazing stories.

Usually these lists are full of things everyone knows, but I was pleasantly surprised to see a list with things I actually didn't know!
This resident of Richmond has joined! Good luck, Richmond!
A vintage hockey programme cover titled βOfficial Programme β NHL Forum.β At the centre, an illustration shows two hockey players skating toward a puck, one wearing a dark uniform with an βMβ on the chest and the other in a red Montreal Canadiens sweater with a blue stripe and the βCβ logo. Both players lean forward with their sticks extended as they compete for the puck on the ice. The text indicates the 1933β1934 season and lists the matchup βChicago vs Montrealβ for the Stanley Cup play-down, dated Wednesday, March 28th, 1934. A price of 5Β’ is printed in the corner.
The Montreal Maroons only existed for 14 seasons but in that time they helped reshape the NHL, won two Stanley Cups and had 11 players and five coaches enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
This is the story of Montreal's other NHL team.

Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.
This is what weak and insecure people think confidence looks like: buffoonish bluster and swagger, like a 12-year-old bully. It doesnβt inspire trust or security. It inspires grave concern for the lives of the people serving our nation whose fate is in the hands of these overcompensating oafs.
From 1968 to 2008, The Hockey Night in Canada Song, or The Hockey Theme, became Canada's unofficial second national anthem. Many Canadians can sing it, and hearing it is a big dose of nostalgia.

March 3rd lunar eclipse near totality.
Would you like a little red light with your moon?
Does this mean that traffic problems created by commuters should be solved by commuters?
I have never used the word "feckless" as I have in describing the Democrats in the year since the twice impeached convicted felon became president again, and this post has me using it once again
I don't understand this coordinated response of Dems going, "Trump owes us an explanation for attacking Iran!"
Do they expect his failure to provide one will produce a politically advantageous gotcha? Come on. Just say the war is stupid, wasteful and it should cease. Stop being weak and terrible.
βdies at 86β like it was natural causes. He was assassinated. βSorry, that was passive voice. Donald Trump assassinated Ali Khamenei. Thatβs what just happened.
βMurderedβ would also be accurate but less specific.
Please revise.
Never forget who youβre fighting for.
@radiofreeskaro.bsky.social I thought Iβd point that out form Food Network Star Alton Brown makes Fish Fingers and Custard, specifically referencing the 11th Doctor, The Eleventh Hour, and The Power of Three.

We killed 85 schoolgirls. We are not the good guys.
Oh, I see the problem.
When he said Release the Epstein Files and No New Wars, he meant No New Epstein Files and Release the Wars.
Honest mistake.
1057 more days of "How can you have any Iran if you dont finish your Venezuela?"
The only difference is that I fell asleep watching Wag the Dog.
Amazing how many people are so determined to deny that Republicans have any power or agency that they will just tweet out that they would fail a junior high civics class
I call BS on this. Always putting public safety first puts the state over its citizens. It undermines many fundamental rights. It should only "trump" rights so far as permitted by s. 1 of the Charter.
