I don't get it. I see the benefit of a power bat, even if old, but it seems like DH is covered.

Happy O&L birthday to those who celebrate!
Your post inspired searches that led me to this article. I'm glad we are in a better place for the time being.
The complicated legacy of David Glass | Royals Review share.google/UbRDepHSwx1J...
Let's put it atop a Chucky Cheese somewhere.
Odds appear to be 17/38
I hope it works out for him, and happy he gets paid either way. Even if it does, there was enough data to justify the Royals moving on. I don't think he sees a lot of playing time in NY unless the turnaround is quick, but maybe he has more upside than their other utility options.
Odd how much more value the Tigers see in him compared to Skubal....
If Jensen Salvy Vinnie play less than 162 each, there's space for another DH in those games.
But hopefully that's rare...

My post seeks to interrogate the nature of fallacy. Hamblin's indictment of the standard approach is a jumping off point for scholarship about informal argumentation, which doesn't operate under the formal norms implied by the term "fallacy." But I agree many fallacies have countersides.
No True Scotsman thinks the standard treatment of fallacy is theoretically coherent.
Meh. I prefer to keep Bubic unless it's a bigger bat.
My newest post up at @royalskeep.com as I share my thoughts on the #Chiefs move and why the #Royals should approach the stadium situation differently

Platoon for Cags not just Isbel.
No objections to you doing so, but if there was uncertainty about my original post, it was clarified by my 2nd and later posts.
Unrelated, I have the general impression than both this administration and their supporters are not interested in the opinions of people like us who voted against them.
If you think this refutes anything I said, you should explain why.
The explanation might reveal a misunderstanding of my post.
Perhaps there is someone else online insisting bribery did not happen re:Honduras, instead of just that they haven't seen direct evidence (as I did).
None of which disproves my claim not to have seen evidence, nor refutes my tie to past eras of US foreign policy which preferred right wing authoritarianism in the hemisphere over free elections that can result in left-center leadership.
So you honestly think my PURPOSE is to make the clemency seem .... acceptable?
I am surprised by that take. I deny that intention.
Compared to the history of murderous coups in our hemisphere, bribery seems the more mundane accusation. Plenty of voters think "both parties" accept bribes.
I oppose the firings of watchdogs and the administration generally.
Is that also sanewashing? I am unclear about the boundary conditions.
I don't think closed eyes is an effective metaphor to refute imperialism. I don't understand why you think US history of involvement is irrelevant.
It's difficult to produce such evidence, but I didnt claim there was NOT a bribe. Only that I have not seen evidence.
Unless your claim is that I have seen evidence, I don't understand what you are disagreeing with.
Why it is "sanewashing" to say one hasn't seen evidence, when they have not seen evidence?
Is "sanewashing" the antonym for lying?
I think your attack is unjustified.
I did. The impulse controlled US policy in the Americas under Eisenhower & Nixon, and might tie into some modern fears of OBOR/BRA. If you think that's laughable, tell me why.
It can be more than one thing.
I'm not saying NO bribe, but that I've seen no evidence. If you have, please share.
18 days until the Epstein release is mandated.
Assuming it isn't everything, the coming questions are "what was classified since the inaugural and what else was held back?"
Then, it becomes a process question in addition to content.
Drip drip drip...
Hopefully people with access have backed up the things likely to be omitted from thr official release.
If so, give the administration a few days to insist they released everything, then....

I haven't seen evidence of money going directly to Trump.
My impression is we are reverting to past US policies that judged governments in the western hemisphere by their openness to US economic interests.
Honduras is being curated as a possible ally and Venezuela as the enemy.
At the end of the day, probably. But money directly to Trump?

XTC fans, make sure you check out the XTC karaoke videos on YouTube. I don't know who made them, but they are fun to watch even if you don't do karaoke. youtu.be/KlkB5xqsCyE?...

They sound quite good, actually. Hard to get any of their stuff live.
