Mmm. It sure is. I’m in the middle of moving. Have loved living in Auckland but feel it’s time to revisit roots in Taranaki and spend more time with family. Hating the moving process.

At Rodney District Council an access control system was installed as one councillor was well known to walk through staff areas and rifle through and read papers left on staff desks.

Well, on 4th time of trying - including one search when I was denied access to Waka Kotahi website I think I have worked out the roads are open but it will be a slow trip with lots of traffic management sites. Not surprising after the recent extreme weather.

Just trying to check on state of roads between/Auckland and New Plymouth. Infuriating that neither the nor NODC nor NZTA bother to tell you what any of their map symbols mean.

Ooh. I went there for a week in 2015 for a knitting course. loved it Didn’t get to Orkney or Fair Isle. But got briefly to most of the island in Shetland from base in Lerwick. Dress for winter even if you’re going in summer.can get hypothermia in June.
