I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking.

I called today, and I figured I'd write up a transcript of how my call went down. Hopefully it helps demystify the process

My family and I are facing a potential homelessness crisis and money is extremely tight. On top of that, all of my personal bills and prescriptions are expiring at the same time and need to be paid. In order of urgency, my annual phone bill is $190. I need my phone for managing my prescriptions, work, and government benefits. I'll lose my service on March 15 without help. A new ID, $40. My previous ID expired in January. Without my ID, I can't pick up my prescriptions or even get to my annual appointment (for HRT) at the end of the month. Without it, I'll lose my HRT. Finally, my HRT appointment is $160. I've been on testosterone for four years. Once per year I have to go in and check my levels or I lose my prescription, and this appointment is at the end of March. If I don't go, I lose my HRT. $160 is the cost of the appointment and insurance doesn't cover it. I can pay for the appointment in installations of $50/month, so if the goal reaches $280 I'll at least be fine until next month. Any additional donations cover the cost of Paypal fees.

I need help.
