I really do love writing in second person and wish it was done more often in non-interactive fiction. First person feels to me like being told the story by the narrator; second person feels like inhabiting their head. But then people go “I wouldn’t do that” and I don’t know what to do with that one.
I could not, for the life of me, read this as anything but “White House” for the first three reads, and to be fair, that would also currently require quite a lot of misconduct

they’re also usually really tiny or have weird floors or things like that
but dream me has learned elevators do that so if I see an elevator in a dream now I go “oh. I’m not going in there. also I’m dreaming, hey”
my dreaming brain can’t comprehend elevators so they always either break or stretch a hundred stories long and stretch the entire dream like taffy, which is really hard to describe, it’s like I’m trying to fit the whole elevator into my consciousness and it’s wiggly and swoopy and awful
for “consistent” places that aren’t real I just get the noneuclidian hotels
which are all different but at this point I usually end up lucid dreaming if I have a dream set at a hotel precisely because they’re all incredibly weird and the elevators are evil

could it have something to do with the idea they have that they’re somehow being persecuted by feminism/liberal culture? like, in their heads they’re transgressing against the established social order or something? plus “I can afford to do this” signaling of course
i do like that, by giving robovacs legs, we are increasingly pushing them into the robotics category known as "little guys"
