I deleted my Amazon account years ago specifically in response to bookstores closing one right after the other. Yes it would be more convenient to use Amazon for everything, but it’s not worth having street after street of abandoned storefront.

I had the same question so I did some digging, and this doesn’t apply to tourism visas, only work or residency visas, and wouldn’t take effect until Q4 2026 (assuming it isn’t held up in court). Still, what an absolute fucking mess and complete embarrassment.

It’s ok to hit a breaking point. I have to remind myself it’s entirely ok and even necessary to unplug from the news sometimes and focus on things that I can control and allow myself to enjoy things that fill me up. The •constant• barrage of terrible isn’t productive, stepping away is valid.
