Do you think it could be because the people who care most about the messaging and policy on eg asylum and immigration are not directly impacted by worker and renter rights and don't view them as core to their identity in the same way they do their views on eg asylum?

Smajo kindly came to our Srebrenica memorial service in July and spoke movingly and powerfully and his experiences. What a lovely story he tells below.

One-stop family hubs to be opened in all English council areas Government announces Β£500m project to provide single point of access for health, education and wellbeing services One-stop shop family hubs will be rolled out across England to give parents advice and support, the government has announced. The centres will offer help with breastfeeding and housing issues, as well as supporting children’s early development and language, ministers said. The Β£500m project will open 1,000 centres from April 2026, meaning every council in England will have a family hub by 2028. It will build on the existing family hubs and start for life programme to provide a single point of access for services in health, education and wellbeing. Continue reading...

Cheers nick, not long to go for either of them now! Darley street market 12 July and I know they're hoping to do public tours of Bradford Live soon. Or get tickets to Yorkshire Calling on 1 August!

Thanks for the kind words as well, it's a team effort but I'd pushed particularly for a big green park so it's nice to see how positively people have responded to it.

Hi nick, glad you love it! It's starting until April but there's a debate as to what happens after. Personally I'd leave it there as long as it was able, the site will probably start as is until the bus starting is redeveloped anyway and now it's in people are loving it more and more!

It drives me nuts. The Telegraph, Mail, Sun etc and the politicians they sponsor like Johnson, Farage, Cameron & Truss got everything they wanted for fourteen of the last fifteen years & only now, with Labour in power for *less than one*, do they acknowledge the damage they have done. It’s sick.

Today is a huge moment for our region.

The Chancellor’s backing means we are on track to bring trams back to the streets of Leeds and Bradford.

It's time for trams and we're ready to deliver.

Starmer should invite Farage to tour a NHS ward in central London to see how much he connects with working people.

Yeah, and once you realise you can't really unsee it, and you feel nothing you're watching is authentic.

There's an installation going up on Penistone Hill in Haworth that will definitely be worth a visit!
