Two cities in Israel, bomb shelter comparison
By the way when you see reports about how Israelis are going to bomb shelters, you should keep in mind that the vast majority of Palestinian *citizens* of Israel (in the 1948 territories, not the oPT) do not have a single bomb shelter nearby due to the apartheid system Israel has implemented.
Chansiri had the finances to make a difference. Ashley has been chased out of every club he's been involved in, he isn't going to be a good owner
Either are as likely as Mike Ashley coming in and doing a good job
I heard it was 200m and he was going to buy Haaland
At least you're building it. Britain does this stuff much worse
If I'm in a shopping centre I do appreciate a library, but I'd rather stay away from the shopping centre!
That's what I thought! They're apparently too loud, but I don't understand why they can't be taught how to behave in that context. New library will be 1km away in a big shopping centre, plenty of distractions to stop the children actually going near the library itself
We're losing our local library in part because too many kids went there after school, according to the city. I still can't get my head round that reasoning
!! β¦ ah
It's a big league alright, but probably a different sport!
Every time I see one of these I wonder what Sanna Marin was thinking when she joined TBI
Hate-filled fake videos about London are everywhere. We've obtained a recording of a TikToker confessing to secretly filming Londoners in their homes for clicks.
He says it's not political. He just wants to make money from far-right anger.
Read what he says: www.londoncentric.media/p/london-tik...
I donβt want to laugh at a small business but also VERY funny
You saw us lose at Blackburn yesterday, then
@SimonKuperFT: "Any politician still invoking βthe international communityβ or calling the US an βallyβ is either a liar or hasnβt been paying attention."

Yeah! It's similar to what they'd planned for Manchester, a new through station underneath the old terminus station. And it will eventually open, so better than HS2! There were protests aplenty but I think signalling is the current holdup
That project is absolutely wild, and the delays are HS2 level! Had a site tour recently and it was fascinating to hear how long it's taken en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuttga...
New owners aren't allowed to communicate with players or the club really. Administrators can't promise anything. Bullshit speculation and bitter Blades (Wilder and his acolytes) fill the void
Surely it's like this: he's been offered 18 months on a proper wage, asked the club if it was likely they would offer the same, and they said no guarantees before the window closes/takeover completion. So is he going to leave 1m+ on the table, at 36? Not sure I'd do that
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
This is actually a weirdly boring time to specialize in International Relations because there's no actual intellectual substance to any of this. Like, yeah, man. Shit's fucked. Fucker's nutso. That sort of insight is why I'm a fancy-pants political scientist you should all respect and consult.
MEP @alexandrageese.bsky.social giving presser now at EP with victims of recent πΊπΈsanctions against lawmakers & NGOs for implementing EU tech laws
"This is a surgical political instrument to silence opponents," she says. "What πΊπΈ is hitting here is not some random NGO, it's the DSA enforcement chain"
One of the DOGE "true believers" left when he realised Government is actually pretty efficient compared to tech firms it's so often unfavourably compared to.

So much has changed overnight. One of those weeks where years happen. An Atlanticist, America-brained and monoglot policymaking community and media class are about to get the shock of their lives.
1,500 of them? Might need a third Finnish officer to deal with that
This is why I don't think it's worth turning on him. If he stays and he's crap, he won't last long. If the new owners sack him, he should leave with gratitude for holding things together when they could've gone even worse
Tactics are basically "try to make this knackered youth team look vaguely competitive", and it has worked very often. We drew with Hull! Most weeks opposition fans get very annoyed that they're not breaking us down. It just looks terrible a d we all know what's coming on 60, 70, 80 minutes
It's mental and physical exhaustion of everyone, and HP has to turn up every day giving it the jolly viking and persuading people to give everything, again. He's played a blinder and if he wants to stay he deserves a chance
"Why shouldπΊπΈcontinue to have access to these bases, or receive support from alliesβ naval assets, air forces or intelligence services, if it tries to take sovereign territory from a NATO member like Denmark? The question is so sensitive diplomats are at pains to keep it away from mainstream debates"
