A big Liberal Democrat welcome to Councillors Sandra Joy and Allan Jeffery who have joined the Liberal Democrats πΆ

By refusing to even consider a customs union, Keir Starmer himself is the biggest block to closer ties with Europe.
Unless he changes that stance, this is all just meaningless blather
The Lib Dems want to shake up Whitehall. They are calling for a break up of the Treasury and its replacement with a new department of growth based in Birmingham. The most radical idea is that the growth department would set fiscal policies. That might be a very good idea if it opened up the space for productive cash injections with an acknowledgment that fiscal deficits are required to rebuild the social democratic space.
Praise for Lib Dem economic plans from The Guardian - buff.ly/T7m8h5S
Good job he hasnβt met my kids (male and female)
They would tell him exactly where to stick his opinions of their life choices!!
And not forgetting the reality of high debt, housing crisis, work-life balance etc

Thanks @sarahgreenld.bsky.social for joining to GΕ΅yr Abertawe today! #WinningHere @libdems.org.uk
While Labour drifts into Reform-lite rhetoric, the Lib Dems are the only ones having a grown-up conversation.
The best deterrent we could have is having a competent immigration system.
ICE murdered an unarmed man who was not resisting them on video and this is the BBC headline. This is a travesty and the BBC must do better.
How dare the Coward in the White House undermine the bravery and sacrifice of our British troops.
Reform and Nigel Farage should be ashamed to associate themselves with him.
Lovely to meet Mr Thomas originally from Crynant his father was a liberal Councillor back in the War for Neath Rural Council. He is voting Liberal Democrat βwithout a doubtβ

Trump is acting with impunity in Venezuela, sending a dangerous signal that leaders can be removed by force.
The PM must call an emergency UN Security Council meeting.
@calummillerld.bsky.social
CALUM MILLER QUOTE GRAPHIC TEXT: It's clear that this was never about the interests of the Venezuelan people or the wider world. This is Trump serving his own interests and ego, making the world far more dangerous in the process. Starmer must convene the UN Security Council to hold Trump to account.
Starmer must convene the UN security council to hold Trump to account.
Keir Starmer should condemn Trumpβs illegal action in Venezuela.
Maduro is a brutal and illegitimate dictator, but unlawful attacks like this make us all less safe.
Trump is giving a green light to the likes of Putin and Xi to attack other countries with impunity.
President Trump has shown, again and again, he canβt be trusted as a reliable ally.
The Prime Minister needs to stop hoping for the best and start dealing with reality.
Proud to have pushed in 2025 for a cap on political donations, and hugely proud of my Liberal Democrat colleagues for leading on important campaigns and changes for our country ππΈοΈβοΈ

What do you get a Lib Dem councillor (who hasnβt got much hair) for Christmas? Loving my new cap
Every year, people mock this tree. But I love it anyway.
It reminds us that if we stand together in tough times, we can overcome anything.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours. πβ¨

Put simply: without farmers, there is no food - and food security is national security.
I will continue to work with farmers and farming organisations to ensure future decisions support food security, rural jobs, and the long-term health of British agriculture.

Changes w/ 14-15 Dec.
Further election delays by the Labour-Conservative stitch up are appalling.
The cornerstone of a Democracy is the right for people to elect their representatives and the Government's plan to delay them further is unacceptable.
Stop running scared from the ballot box just cus you know you'll lose!!
Graphic featuring a black-and-white close-up of Donald Trump. Overlaid on the image is a news-style box from The Guardian with the headline: "Lib Dems call for inquiry into hostile foreign state interference to include US". The subtext states: "Party says US governmentβs explicit support for far-right nationalist parties in Europe amounts to outside interference".
Donald Trump has made it his explicit policy to interfere in European politics and βcultivate resistanceβ in the UK and elsewhere.
The government should include the US administration in the scope of its investigation.
