Enoch Burke is transferred to Castlerea Prison and his brother Isaac complains that the move is a breach of a court order. Said with no hint of self-awareness. The irony is staggering.

There is no economic rationale for this. It is little more than a fit of pique, the act of a spoilt child.

If everyone leaves the bar, it won't remain in business for long.

Where's the rest of the world? It's time other world leaders stopped kowtowing to this demented lunatic and stood up to his bully-boy tactics.

@aerlingus.bsky.social Already 30 minutes in check-in queue at Seville airport and still a way to go to get to the top. Two desks open. And before you ask check-in online was not available. Madness.

'Overland to Beijing' is my account of the journey my wife and I made from Dublin to Beijing by train. Great read for travel enthusiasts, and train buffs in particular. Available from Amazon - who, thanks to Brexit, seem to have a problem sending the paperback version to Ireland from their UK site.

During Covid lockdown, if you had family round on Christmas Day the police could force their way into your home and make them return to their own homes.
Does anybody know if this service is still available and, if so, do you have to book it?

I like to write but I'm not a plotter. I fly by the seat of my pants. I find it very motivational because, the sooner I finish the sooner I know how the story ends.

#GE24 "Parity of esteem' seems to be the lastest buzz phrase in irish politics.

Could two people called Gerry not properly be referred to as two Gerrys? And what about the Two Ronnies comedy duo? I play golf two Tuesdays in every month. And Dublin, Ireland and Dublin, Ohio together make two Dublins that I know of. And I have gone to stay in a hotel for six Christmases in a row.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen an Irish side make so many handling errors. Need to seriously up their game in the second half.
