The first two hours this morning

Our Solar System is orbiting the center of our Galaxy at about 220 km/s so in 2025 we collectively traveled something like 7 billion kilometers across the Milky Way. Once in a while, when you have a moment, it’s worthwhile to take a look around, see where you are, and appreciate how far you’ve come.

Had a fantastic time at the inaugural @sciencepolicy.bsky.social Science Meets Parliament Ontario last week, where we brought together amazing researchers across the province to meet w/ MPPs at Queen's Park #SciParlON2025

💯 When I taught 325 Cognitive Neuroscience this past term, I detailed the brilliant science that occurred in Iran, Iraq, Egypt, India, and Peru during the "Dark Ages", & students were genuinely surprised. Science was alive & thriving over this period, it's a shame textbooks don't ever showcase this

This was such a fantastic team to work with over the year! Couldn't be prouder!
