Just ordered mine. Really looking forward to forward to it.

Patently not running, though, are they. They're never going to catch it unless they put some effort in.
<round of applause>
Excellent news and well deserved!
Just read book two. An excellent read.
Happy new year to you all. Keep on doing what you're doing, Cinebook!

Sone of today’s doodles while selling my books.
Eli in the UK noticed his fridge was making a noise like a frog, so asked for a story about it. That sounded like fun, so this is what I wrote: www.spreaker.com/episode/frog...
We had a request from Emilia from Gothenburg in Sweden, wanting a quokka and a quail in a story. My first instinct was write a tongue-twister with as many Q-words as possible, but it ended up being about a quagga and an old bookshop instead.

Oo, that’s hideous

I love writing stories for dinosaur requests. This was a lot of fun: www.spreaker.com/episode/i-ca...
Absolutely agree
Love that cover
Some children request difficult combinations of creatures to write about, but that opens up other possibilities, such as friendship regardless of your background. This is the first five minutes: www.spreaker.com/episode/new-...
Today’s drawings at the Shaftesbury Fringe Festival.
When fulfilling children's story requests I find it sometimes helps to channel a little Looney Tunes silliness.

Love this album. Going to have to play it right now.
One of the troubles of asking children to suggest animals for stories is that they answer you. This story features the tricky combination of a pink hairy squat lobster (look it up) and a barrel sponge: www.spreaker.com/episode/pink...
You should. That one image has sold it for me
I really enjoy writing fable-like stories, so when Miles in Maui requested a sperm whale, a great white shark and a turtle for a story it seemed like a good opportunity to write one: www.spreaker.com/episode/new-...
You were missed.
Because it's children that request the animals in our stories, we often get little ones wanting animals having a fight. And sometimes, the animals having the fight live in different environments and are very different sizes. Kids are good at setting these challenges.

Award yourself a biscuit for that. Masterful. Go full Hobnob.
A couple of years ago I illustrated a second book with the amazing Helen Griffiths, over in New Zealand. It's about a real-life local cat in Pukekura Park. The story has now been turned into a short film with local children reading the rhyme. It's rather lovely: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM71...
One of the greatest pieces of cover art ever created.
