Saw one of my favourite women's teams win 5-1 today to clinch their second league title in two years.
Next weekend I'm off to a new ground (number 198) for Newbury Town v Wargrave on Saturday and another women's game on Sunday as Farnham Town take on Shaftesbury. #NonLeague #womensfootball

When I was at school I used to buy a magazine called The Unexplained. One of the first editions had an article about spontaneous human combustion with a picture of what was left of an old woman's leg which freaked me out. Before that the public service broadcasts were grim.
It's a great book and the reason, health permitting, I'm planning on visiting some of the grounds featured next season 🙂

Just when you thought you couldn't hate the EFL any more. Like all football it's all about money. Little wonder I barely look at league football now, just keep an eye on how Ipswich get on each week. It used to be the be all & end all for me but now it's just meh. Give me #nonleague every day.
Next stop on my #nonleague wandering roadshow is a long journey to Sussex and a first visit to Arundel for their game with Ringmer on Saturday. This will be my longest trip so far this season, which will only be surpassed when I head to Larkhall next month.
Today I will be mostly... starting writing an article on food options and quality at local #nonleague teams I've visited over the past couple of seasons.
They once mixed with the likes of Southampton, Millwall, Tottenham Hotspur, Swindon Town, and Reading, now there are only memories of Wolverton Town | Steve Jinman.

Schooligans again. Modern times. As you say it seems to be happening all too frequently these days and you never quite know what they're carrying either.
Thoroughly enjoyed my day out in London and saw an entertaining match which ended @fisherfc.bsky.social 4 Faversham Strike Force 2. Excellent burger, free beer & soup available thanks to the legend that is @paulheatonsolo.bsky.social. Burger cost less than a pint in the pub at London Bridge!
Started today's tour with two traditional old pubs near London Bridge. One of them sells Courage Best which is a real throwback to the 70s & 80s! #Londonpubs #London

Back on my travels today with trip into London for the @fisherfc.bsky.social v Faversham Strike Force SCEFL Premier match. Going via a pub which featured in a very popular TV series and will then take advantage of Fisher's free beer at the ground with a monster burger. My diet is on hold today! 😄

Just how many new gold/silver coins have been struck recently? Seems to be a new one advertised every week and with each one costing anywhere between £40-£100 it's not cheap obsession to have!

Had to make a change to my planned fixture in mid March due to rail engineering works.
Now looking at a choice of two replacements, Potters Bar v Welling United or Corinthian Casuals v Redhill which would both be new grounds for me. Decision to be made closer to the time.
Even at this stage of the year someone is going to have to pull off something remarkable to stop Matt Weston winning SPOTY. What a climax to the skeleton, edge of the seat stuff. Simply stunning, go GB!!!
