Her social training almost feels exactly what I went thru, even down to her remembering the various lesson numbers and their titles before proceeding. There are still some lessons that stick with me to this day.

I'm just so glad that Seven exists, because it shows someone like me succeeding.

Seven, to me, is the best character yet in Star Trek. She's intimidating, head strong, wits so sharp that she'd slice you into pieces. She loves tinkering with astrometrics and music. God she can sing beautifully! But place her in a social gathering and she's against the wall watching others.

I just finished watching the episode where Janeway and Tuvok are away and Neelix is trying his best with the Ambassador who just gets so drunk. Meanwhile The Doctor slowly comes to realize he's in love with Seven, and her not knowing social cues well doesn't realize she broke his heart at the end.

It was one thing to go thru TNG and identifying with Data, but going thru Voyager and seeing Seven-of-Nine going thru social training hits so much stronger as an autistic woman. To see her learn and sort her emotions, to clumsily going thru social interactions and becoming a better person.
