Not quite, we played downstairs at the Clarendon in December 86 and at a College whose name I forgot in February 87. They were both a bit crap, this was definitely our first “proper” show.

Loop were rubbish. Prog rock in winklepicker Chelsea boots. The ginger one went on to launch the careers of the Strokes and the Libertines & should be publicly flogged.

This was a great night out. I was “unwell” on the night bus on the way home. Not my proudest moment

My brother and I were on the march, arrived at Trafalgar Square, got annoyed by all the fussing about so we went guitar shopping in nearby Denmark Street. Went home blissfully unaware of the rioting until I put the news on.
