Idk i also just get very bored by things that seem to be popular in sexy media generally. ”Ohhh the top is bighuge and the bottom is so small!” Wow groudnbreaking. Florals? In spring? Crazy. Anyway, where are all the tiny guys folding a big ones in half? Please? For me?
For whatever reason i am such s sex position contrarian in media and I’m not even trying to be but every time fandom has an opinion that it is exclusively one thing, i think it is hotter the other way around. Almost always. I’m not doing it on purpose but everyone else is just wrong always!!
In a way only a place like goodreads can show you just how wrong people can be in their opinions :,,D
So really, there is no point in worrying about if people will dislike your work. Someone always will. Some ppl could see the face of a loving god on a beautiful summer’s day and would still find reasons to have a bad time. This is a part of life and the beautiful variety of human existence
I think authors of stories (of any kind) should read one star reviews of their favourite books/movies for two reasons a) it is always good and interesting to challenge your perspectives b) a piece of art can be flawless in every way and there will still be some idiot who hates it for some reason

So well put! And sometimes I can see that the writer thinks the dynamic is hot or the dynamic has a potential to be hot, but the focus is too much on the looks and not on the chemistry
I've developed a rule for reading and writing #romance and #romantasy: the "hot people make bad romance" rule. If your romance wouldn't happen if the characters weren't physically attractive, I'm bored. The *dynamic* needs to be sexy, not the bodies.
I love male characters that are frighteningly competent fighters/scary good at their job/whatsver but also lazy annoying dandy-types at the same time. Rec me your me your favourite fops please, i need more of them in my life
