I have saved so much money and they have lost so many sales bc I simply will not do extra steps to buy something. Even something I need like shoes for my teen. If I'm clicking more, it's to another store.
(Left the rhyme for you bc whew this world. Have a little jingle as a treat.)

Let me tell you something. Yβall are asking too many damn questions at every point of sale. I have to leave a comment, make a suggestion, donate to a charity, choose a method of payment three times and then multiple choice of ways to get a receipt.
Take the damn money and leave me alone.
When Huck decided that he'd rather break the law, offend God, and go to Hell than return Jim to slavery, I knew which one I was.
The only way I see that the Paralympics are happening is ppl posting stuff like βwow I donβt have any excuse for not running a marathonβ and GENUINELY can you all cut that shit out. These are athletes who have trained their whole lives! You wouldnβt be able to to it just because youβre abled!!
It's 2004. The US is mired in a pointless war in the Middle East. There's a new Nintendo handheld. Taking Back Sunday is headlining the Warped Tour.

I don't usually use "normal" bc there is so much in life that I don't want to draw a hard line around. But/and I support its use here in the normative sense of exhibiting desirable prosocial behavior.
Usually you can see the exact point the chud's mind shuts off and they decide they do not want to think about it anymore, decide that this inexplicable tangent is simply not worth their time.
"Why are they asking who I voted for? What does this have to do at all with anything?"
I call this being willfully obtuse.
A normal person won't get *offended* by the conversation's new direction, the revelation that what they thought was X is actually a part of Y, etc. They won't shut down and go uncommunicative about it as this continues.
Motivated incuriosity.
A normal person, upon hearing that X and Y are connected, or may *even be the same thing*, doesn't react like this.
They don't act incredibly confused, frustrated, and evasive about what they're trying to say. They are *curious* about it.
"What does ___ have to do with ____?" and it's like, The Sermon on the Mount and poverty.
They'll act confused, and then they'll act frustrated that you keep bringing up something irrelevant, and then they try to disengage from the conversation's inexplicable turn to such a strange topic.
It's normal to restrict or move away from treatments when evidence of harms starts to outweigh evidence of benefits.
It's not normal to restrict or move away from treatments when there is evidence of benefits and none of harms, even if the evidence of benefits is "low quality."

happy international women's day
There is always gonna be a post from a hater you agree with if you just bide your time.
I used to hate International Women's Day until I spent the day in Tijuana where it was a riot against the patriarchy. Where race and imperialism was at its core.
Happy International Women's Day to the women who fight.
That's why I'm so against ChatGPT. I'm against letting a machine do your homework for you. I think you should cling to Doing Your Homework Yourself like it's the last opportunity you have to liberate yourself from mental enslavement. Because it basically is.
Anyway shout out to Kai Cenat.
I think a lot of us millennials & older really take it for granted that we were the last of only a couple generations where there was an all-encompassing campaign to encourage literacy. Everyone used to agree upon it. There were commercials with your favorite celebrities just being like, "READ!"
And I swear to you the Venn diagram of people who don't want gay characters in kids' shows and people who demand that antiblack cartoons from the past remain uncensored and free of warning labels is a single circle.
Itβs cool that this generation gets to find out the answer to βwhat would you have done when we started interning the Japanese?β and βwhat would you have done when we invaded Vietnam?β and βwhat would you have done in Watergate?β all at the same time.
4/ NYU closed its student center stairs for YEARS to to prevent support for Palestine.
It enclosed its only plaza to prevent support for Palestine.
It banned graduation speakers to prevent support for Palestine.

Make any comment about the evil of AI on the internet and you inevitably get these people saying, "Ah, but you can't halt progress." You know what else people thought was progress not long after it was invented? Asbestos.
I'm too bored of this to try and be clever about it anymore.
If you think that two men kissing, or two women kissing, requires any more explanation than a man kissing a woman, that is homophobia.

idk Iβve seen a bajillion kids movies where the kids parents die & let me tell you, having a convo with my kid about how anyone can die at any time & it doesnβt matter if theyβre someoneβs mom or dad is way harder than having a convo about how sometimes someone has two dads or whatever. And yet
Some parents would like to see their kids' and their kids' families' identities reflected in age-appropriate films, but I guess those parents can eat rocks.
