Iβm late to this convo, just took a little social media break but wanted to say it is all of those, and also you do a good job modeling how to analyze on our own. Sometimes Iβll try and compare what I see going on with what youβve posted, and itβs getting easier.

THIS MADE LAUGH SO HARD!!! HAHAHAHA!
I wrote about this a bit in my last book but it really shakes me that a defining feature of this catastrophic era is that we just keep going to work. We work through pandemics, we work through natural disasters, we work through economic calamity, we work through coups, we work, we work, we work.
I like this a lot a lot a lot.
Indeed. The remedy is always going to be community.
I really like this! Itβs positive, timely, puts the onus on people attending to make use of the time given to make a new connection. Also, you might keep in touch, or you might see them at the next thing. And it makes everyone feel good :D
Yes, same. People are hungry for concrete ideas and directions.
building; go get on your school board, your PTA, your local organizing communities, etc.
Yesterday, there were a few soft ...encouragements, is what I'd call them. AOC had people introduce themselves to someone next to them as a symbolic "hey! get to know your communities and make sure everyone around you is ok", and then they both acknowledged the hunger for grassroots community...
It's so GOOD!!!
(Gaga, but also, probably your soup!)
OH! And now we're threatening explicit murder. WHAT IS HAPPENING
Also, can we just note the petty but also murderous and threatening messaging of "You can choose" when referring to "Hello and Goodbye". Like?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh, me too. The internet is still a powerful tool of connection and humanity.
This is cool!
The Department of Ed has a form to snitch on DEI policies in schools.
Iβd be a shame if we broke it with thousands of responsesβ¦ enddei.ed.gov

The fact that the USA has banned visas for trans people but welcomed rapist Andrew Tate shows how all this "defending women" stuff is total bullshit

The military choir sang Do You Hear the People Sing from Les Mis at the governor's dinner at the white house. Thanks to @beebrookshire.bsky.social for helping me fact check tihs one. As far as I can it's only "officially" been posted on Dan Scavino's FB
One payment! Gah!! I had a physical reaction to this! So frustrating!!
If there is delight to be found in this situation, it's in the sheer amount of trolling we're all doing.
(Iβm sure someone already posted this but I made myself laugh writing it)
1. Gave you up
2. Let you down
3. Ran around and deserted you
4. Made you cry
5. Said goodbye
Extra credit: told a lie and hurt you

I got curious, too. I found what I think might be it on Reddit: www.reddit.com/r/Antifascis...
So, the National Endowment for the Arts announced today that they are reworking the guidelines for all 2026 grants and will be prioritizing projects that center the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It's now just a propaganda fund.

In a TV panel on Tuesday, and I joked that Canada's promised "24/7 eyes on the border" should be some hockey sticks with googly eyes jammed in a snowbank.
Aaron and his mom KJ, in Winnipeg, liked the idea, so they made us some truly amazing border sentries. I hope Mr. Trump feels more secure now.
