I wrote about how the US and Israel carried out an attack on an Iranian girls school on par with the OKC bombing and US media relegated it to a back page story. No stand alone evening news segments, no front page stories, it made A11 in the NYT then everyone moved on.
And they should go much harder, to keep this administration on its heels.
Right now, public support is heavily against the invasion, but the White House and their media outlets are going to be pushing the propaganda hard and a lot of their base will rally around Trump again soon.
You cannot talk like this about any other minority in America.
And if it was any other president’s adviser who said something like this about any other minority, it’d be the instant end of their presidency.
International law — here the UN Charter, the prohibition on the use of force against other states with the narrowest of exceptions — is enforced through the outrage of other states.
It is how the world responds to violations that will determine whether these rules continue to stand.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

ICE is a death squad.

ICE just shot another one of my neighbors. They had the person on the ground, being beaten by several agents, and then fired multiple shots. In front of the donut shop where we like to get donuts for our kids.
Governors and mayors and courts that do not take immediate action to stop ICE, to expel it from our cities and towns, to hold it accountable for its crimes, to ensure it works within the law, are failing at their jobs. It will require strength and confrontation and struggle. But it must happen.
