Yeah!! Kyososama is an enigma too. She's constantly trying to hide away because being an enigma serves a role to uniting the people of her nation but she's also lonely so I can see her holding onto Manji's love similarly as when she was SMB Type-0 who wants to spend time with Himeno and Dr. Mikoto-

Manji can't express her feelings outwardly (especially when the only time she was honest with someone was their final moments together 💀) but she is a romantic at heart...

Manji who is hard-headed and gruffy turns into a weeping maiden when it comes to kyososama is such a good flavor!!!

I love the vagueness of it too like you can't really tell if kyososama meant it in the same way Manji did towards her...

Still thinking about that one scene when Manji was crying her eyes out as kyososama passes her dagger to her, Manji tried to tell kyososama her feelings but kyososama stopped her halfway and told her she loves her too AUGHHH huhu gh

He's a very physical person I feel... And that he doesn't mind getting tussled or do the tussling himself (as seen with his interactions with Hana). Although it seems like only person he actively avoids is Enoki???

Taiga picks on Haru in both War of Tokyo and 4K comics so I'm inclined to think Taiga’s friendship point is him being very touchy feely. Like, grabs you by the head to shake you or giving you a loud smack at the back kind of touchy feely. 🫣

Hmm I wonder if Kazuki is an introvert or an extrovert??
His character traits seems to point mostly to introversion because he's highly selective over his interaction with people like it's an exchange of benefits. 🤔
I guess it's the same for Yui.

Maybe imouto chan likes cute things but she has an image and reputation to upkeep in order to protect neesan but Hina comes into the picture and her coolness is constantly being tested.

Love the concept of "ever so high strung and suspicious of men" Yayoi who is highly critical of men leering on beautiful women but she's also weak to Hina's maid cafe moe charm...

If anything, I have more power to try and spin everything to make sense in my mind (by interpreting and maybe rewriting the events in my own doujin).

This is the beauty and freedom of derivative works imo.

It's just the nature of having multiple writers (especially from different companies) in a project.

There'll be inconsistencies and different portrayal of a subject so I'm not that upset that the doujin is different and some parts of the character writing is contradictory to the original source.

My baseline comes from the official materials and I just take NNT's events as framework of events to work on.

I still admire and respect NNT for what it is though!!! It's still my lifeline in the unfortunate event that's befallen on us all T9 fans...

Of course, all the personal interpretation and build up I have contradicts some elements from NNT doujin but since it's unofficial anyways, I don't have to stick too close/literal from it. I just want something I can foot off since Aktk has completely abandoned this IP.

I think what happened to Ojiro after the UD-X fight made Kazuki realize how painful is the loss of someone very important, so he's now less... frantic about stuff. He actually handles Q's current identity more empathetically with how it pertains to the other Trash members in Chapter 3 append.

Loss is something that's very difficult and need careful approach to tackle. Kazuki never felt that loss as heavily as Ojiro did so he's quite careless around Yo (who clearly was still so fresh from losing Sui). But Q understands Yo and wanted to help but he denies himself so much so he did nothing.

And this time Q is wise, experienced enough to work around it and he has the Akiba siblings to execute his plans without Kazuki's knowledge. Instead, Kazuki's overbearing approach ended up affecting Yo instead because it made Yo think he's not being trusted enough for anything.

I want to think that Kazuki's overbearing nature starts emerging itself again in Chapter 3 when their environment got too close to home. You can see Kazuki trying to solve everyone's problems by himself again, working from the shadows with very limited input from the other Trash Tribe members.

Ironically, Kazuki himself didn't believe in the new ideals he tries on impart on Ojiro since he intended to use the Minato Tribe to his benefits (and why I personally think Ojiro doesn't accept it as easily) until Kazuki met the members himself and learned about what it means to stick together.

So now Kazuki has made his bed and is trying to fix it, he started to preach about the importance of "friends" and "joy of XB" and I want to think that probably pisses Ojiro even more due to the hypocrisy LMAO

Ojiro isn't a naive or oblivious kid either, so I like to think he adapted Kazuki's approach but to an extreme and destructive degree. I want to think at one point, he's just fed up with Kazuki's overbearing nature and starts building up his own ideals on what it means to be powerful and strong.

Kazuki would be quite standoff-ish but as a kid you can't avoid curious interactions (also you need to strategize against weaker candidates), he knows how to act around social occasions with the other kids but also not be too attached to them so he won't be devastated when they're gone.
