Fantastic, my friend bought a box of reissues direct from an artist, actually putting money into his hand. He plays one of these records regularly and if challenged he says, 'I actually paid the artist, who did you pay?' I hope the artists that did come to venues were well treated, many were not βΉοΈ
Another tune another classic, Willie Kendrick - Change Your Ways (RCA Victor 1967). This belting tune has stood the test of time, filling dancefloors time and time again.

Sorry, I misread it and then realised you would have known - DOH. Pressings and boots are the dirty secret of the scene, without them the scene was dead but it came at a price to many of the artists who never got their royalties, I was talking to a dealer yesterday about it oddly enough.
We all bought these in good faith π€£π€£π
Yep, it was a bootleg label, I have a few myself π€£π€£ 70s bootleg/re-issue record label run by Simon Soussan out of LA, USA, specialising in Northern Soul rarities for the UK - either bootlegs of the originals or synth re-works by Soussan himself. Credits also appeared on some releases on Soul Galore.
