My hot take re this is that THAC0's reputation for being difficult to grasp is a linguistics issue.
The maths is easy-peasy but having to drill down through 3 layers of insular jargon is inherently offputting for those not already deep in the sauce.

Thinking about the reception to Marathon's 'polarising' visual style, and how many of its detractors would cum instantly if they used that squared modern-military typeface and included a character class with Oakleys, a beard and a chest-holster.

Within a hilltop barrow sits the tomb of Nul, Dread-Knight, wielder of the blade Sun-Swallower. Some primordial force of spite animates his symbiotic bone-metal armour, his desiccated cadaver trapped inside.
01/03: 1203
A featureless concrete tower reaches 100ft above the silver treetops. A huge LIDAR array sits atop it like a malformed compound eye, flanked by 4 snipers with long-range rail weaponry. The tower is guarded by 60 military autonomous biped shells in varying states of decay.
My ego says the former, but my heart kind of says the latter. I think. I don't fucking know. Gaah.
I feel like I'm at a fork in the road with Decree and my work in general just now.
Undecided whether I want to go down the route of doing marketing / promo, commercial print-runs, crowdfunders etc
Or do I just want to do some small-scale prints and make nice handcrafted things for my pals?
