Anyone who's ever played football has had times coming out after half time knowing there's nothing but a half of misery coming your way. The question is not what they do this half but what they do next. Now they've just got to lose in the least bad way possible.

Can I succeed in convincing myself that a relegation battle is exciting, actually? Just like the battle for top four but with terrible football and less possibility of Thursday night football if you fail.

Would be good if in future the government didn't have to be dragged kicking and screaming into dropping ideas that are obviously stupid and unpopular but I guess we're going to have to go through it at least one more time.

Wow, thanks for this, I'd never heard of it before. Bit confused about the journal articles needing to be claimed within a year of publishing - does this mean if you don't do this you can never get paid for them? Or just you only get paid for the first year?

You pick one domino up, and all the others pick themselves up. Obviously me picking a domino up involves thousands of bombs and missiles and assassinations and such, but hopefully all the other dominoes can pick themselves up in a different way that also hopefully will be good for me.

Been blocked by a load of people (for me, YMMV) today for basically saying this. "AI doesn't work" was never a great argument, now it just looks silly and reduces your credibility to pursue other arguments.
