I say favourite thing, because 1 week into my job at The Rooms in YYT, I left to visit folks in BC for 2 weeks! & my archaeology job before that, I onboarded & then immediately went to Scotland 😂
It's tough out there when you like to travel!

4 days into my new job & I'm doing my favourite thing tomorrow...peacing for 10 days! I'm taking a week long intensive course on museum exhibition planning & design, & also fulfilling a lifelong goal of attending UVic (at least for a week)! ✌️ #heritage

I'm going to look for my records from last year this evening! The percentages this year were ridiculous! I wonder if it has to do with combining the programs?

Also that is an extremely high number of unfunded applicants. I wonder how it compares ti the last few year?? I'll be checking my notes tomorrow.

Well, I didn't get a SSHRC Postdoc. This was my 3rd attempt & I scored very well, but 81.3% of applicants did not get funded this year. It was my last attempt allowed for SSHRC but on the bright site, I don't have to figure out how to do my new job & a postdoc together? Still sucks #academia
