recent discourse could've easily been resolved if more people acknowledged that the term still causes hurt to many people, even if that hurt wasn't intentional.
Personally I'm fine with the term queer as a descriptor and use it more that I use "LGBTQ12A+" because it's to long and queer is easier to say. BUT I acknowledge that some people aren't comfortable with it due to their situations and will respect their wishes to no be referred to as queer

The response on twitter has been to deny that the antisemitic trope of jewish deicide is even a thing and calling anyone who saw how Fox's statement could be hurtful a "zionist"
It's very refreshing to see that the Jamie Fox situation is being handled much better on here than it is on Twitter.
The discussions here are much more fruitful and acknowledge the nuances of the situation while not downplaying the harm that was caused.
