ICE deported a 6 year old deaf child with severe disabilities to Columbia.
Before deporting him, they dragged him from camp to camp without providing his assistive hearing devices or a translator.
This innocent child had no way to communicate or understand what was being done to him:

I keep thinking of the young girl who was bullied into removing her mask at school (by teachers and students). Her mom was going through chemo for cancer.
The girl got covid, gave it to her mom and she died.

I’m dealing with a flare up and a stressful personal issue that has left me feeling scared & alone.

It’s very hard especially when you’re left with no other choice. I had about 100 contingency plans but my health became so severe none of them were possible. Now I’m forced to rely on others and it’s terrifying.

Disability Day of Mourning is a day dedicated to grieving disabled people who’ve been killed by their caregivers.
The people we entrust to keep us safe are often the ones most likely to hurt us.
Why? Because ableism is violence but the non disabled don’t see it that way.
