That said, my favorite podcast is the only one I know of that has incorporated a visual element (PowerPoint presentation) from the very beginning, so releasing on YouTube just made sense for them.
I think most people "watching" podcasts, Gen Z or not, are doing other things too. The only reason they're "watching" it is that they found whatever podcast on YouTube through its algorithm. It's treated the same way as if it were audio-only, it's just accessed through a video platform.
I really like Reece's nuanced take here. I agree there's a lot of potential for properly regulated robotaxis in combination with robustly planned public transit and pedestrian and cycling infrastructure to dramatically improve the efficiency of our cities (and cut down our carbon footprint too!)
I used to be a constant music-listener while walking or taking transit, but nowadays I almost never do. It's fun to be a part of the public!
Same when I can't get out to Costco for something needed on short notice, but it's been surprising how little that need actually comes up. Maybe twice in the last year
