when we were watching that episode my friend realized that they had that exact outfit in their closet, dug it out, and made their mom photograph them in it the next day. it was amazing

a woman in the bookstore drops her stuff and we scramble to try and find it all, which i feel bad about bc she thanked me even though i didn’t do anything. i explain a confusing store concept with leather goods and flannel and also stuff with gratuitous swearing on it. i hear bird noises over the music and am confused and investigate, and find two parakeets cheeping over stevie nicks’ “edge of seventeen.” outside a clothing store i offer my hand to two bulldogs and they ignore it, which makes me sad.

i go to the library for the first time since 2024 and am a little confused that they separate manga by perceived age range here, although i suppose that makes sense. i cannot find the fantasy section. i get two books, everina maxwell’s ocean’s echo and kate elliott’s unconquerable sun. we try to order food at the sushi place downtown which is tucked in a side alley but it says it’s closed for maintenance and i am sad.

i lie in bed in pain and also draw these. my mom calls to ask what i’m actually eating for dinner and i say “what is food?” because i have no ability to make a decision. i eat cereal and a protein shake and some dried fruit for dinner. my dog hears the cherry bag open and begs for a treat so i give it to her. i reluctantly say i’m finished a few hours ahead of schedule. thanks for reading!

sorry i stopped before resuming the movie but please imagine some drawings of train explosions or something. anything else would be me reading a book in bed which i didn’t feel like drawing again.

i read a book in bed while listening to music and then an all star mashup comes on, which makes me frustrated-amused bc that song haunted my comics last year. then i watch a detco movie. there is a drawing of him in a little suit. i explain that it’s really cold so nobody might take me out tomorrow.

i am lying in bed reading fanfiction and drawing these comics and then i go to bed for real. i wake up at 1:30 in different pajamas and go eat breakfast (dog under the table) and then my dad asks if i want to go downtown, which i do.

i explain that it feels like 16 F outside and draw our outfits for walking around outside. there’s still snow on the ground. we drive by an escape room called Sure Locked In.
