Personally I only found it disappointing back then because I played (and loved) VIII first, and wasn't keen on VII's more cartoony appearance. As a result, I didn't originally play it for longer than about an hour. I plan to correct that at some point.
I promised it would be a bumper episode and I wasn't kidding. After editing it down, this is the episode's final running time.
It's a great chat though and I know you'll enjoy it.

Sending a question out to the hive mind. Podmetheus: An Alien Earth Podcast ( @podmetheus.bsky.social ) and 8-Bit Back Issues are planning a crossover episode and want to talk about the Alien video games. So, we're looking for a gaming mag with an Alien cover. Can anyone suggest anything?
I won't lie - it's a big edit job! However it's a great episode and one I thoroughly enjoyed recording.
