Before I started using SMBX, I used to scour the internet for mario level editors and boy did I try a lot of them, you just had to be there back in the day where anyone would show up with their own (albeit very janky) attempts!

I had noticed something similar with my old Modern Gameboy Games video. The Gameboy scene had a LOT of Zelda clones.

By comparison, there isn't a single Zelda clone on the modern Mega Drive scene and the last JRPG released was Pier Solar

Earlier this week, @yuvi.app preserved Mappy de Puzzle, as well as several other previously-lost #Namco i-mode ports from the early 2000s! Mappy de Puzzle was released exclusively for keitai in 2003. You guide a set of Meowkies through a maze. It's really charming!

Played the demo for DOWNSOUTH this week and it was pretty slick, so cobbled together a little model & render for it.

It’s worth mentioning that this was made by six guys in their dorm room for a sci-fi convention, and all six of them (which includes the creator of Evangelion) would go on to define the anime industry for decades to come.

Updated the mall a bit, and can now grind on the escalators. For this level, the goal is to tag all the spots (I missed one oops)

There will be NPCs trying to stop you too of course, I just haven't made them yet, but they'll be some Bear Mall Cops
