Not sure how drastic the impact on artists will be, though. While AI music can be surprisingly decent, it's pretty generic and mainly a threat for mainstream producers. And people using AI for cover art for budget reasons, probably couldn't have paid a human to do the cover in the first place.
A big problem I see there is that machine learning algorithms often use the data without consent (or even knowledge) of the original creators. That they rely heavily on stolen data is at least morally questionable...

I invested a low amount from time to time, when they had another offer like 10-20% off going on. But mostly experienced the bullshit mentioned above. Found maybe max. 5 decent curators over the years, and maybe 3 of them had some ok actual reach...

Their detection even sucked before the AI hysteria. I used LANDR about 3-5 years ago and regularly had some false positives about possible samples used or whatever, always had to confirm vie mail that it's not the case. Never had that problem with any other distributor before and after x)
But it's a clever PR campaign from Bandcamp, since a lot of the hardcore users seem to have a general aversion against AI. They easily earned a lot of positive attention in the last few days. #meh
Personally, I don't give a shit if AI music is allowed on a platform - as long as it is stated that it's made with AI. I'm for letting people decide on their own if they want to listen to it or not...
