I went out diapered, in onesie and overalls. I’ve never been out so babyish in public but it was nice. I was with a close friend, Daddy-type. We went to the cinema, eat out and to the mega store for a book for Baby Me!

I got home, diapee squishy and full. I needed changey hehe.

2. You forget how to position your thumb and hand.

To get your thumbsucking reflex back, remember which thumb you used to suck, and don't force it. Ease it naturally. The thumb has to be all the way into your mouth and your fist almost against your nose. Hopefully the instinct will kick in again!

The things is that, if you stop sucking your thumb:
1. Your mind (and mouth) forget the sucking motion that was automatic when you did it as an infant. Because I've always sucked my thumb, form the day I was born to today, the sucking motion is still natural on me.

Thumbsucking is more than just "looking babyish". For me, it's a natural habit since birth, a soothing addiction since forever that brings me peace and connects me to the innermost child in me. While sucking my thumb, my thoughts slow down, my breathing eases and I find true harmony.

We live in hard times, everywhere.But, I've been looking in for my inner child because of the protagonist of the book I'm writing. I put myself in his shoes, I remind myself that magic exists, and goodness prevails. That simple things like a song and a hug are enough to feel joy. We're never alone.

It does. You just need to look at things with a different perspective.
