While you’ve all been watching that classic Roland Garros final, Wu Yibing and Zhou Yi played out their own epic at the Tyler Challenger!
Wu won 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to take the title in just the second all-Chinese Challenger final. Wu understandably emotional at the end given his injury struggles.

Before this week Buyunchokete hadn’t won a main-draw match in any tournament on clay this year. He’s now into the final of the Challenger 175 in Turin with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Camilo Ugo Carabelli, having not dropped a set this week. Will make his top-60 debut with a win tomorrow.
28-year-old Sun Fajing of China wins his first Challenger title with a 7-6(6), 6-4 victory over Alex Bolt in Wuxi.
He’s now into the top 200 for the first time (now at 195 in the live ranking), up from his current ranking of 289.
The 23-year-old Uchijima will take on the 17th seed Elina Svitolina for a spot in the semis.
🇯🇵 Moyuka Uchijima beats Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-4, 7-6(5) in Madrid to progress to her maiden WTA 1000 quarterfinal!
She had to survive a fight back from Alexandrova from a two-break deficit in the second set but put on an overall solid, composed performance to get the win.

17-year-old Wakana Sonobe wins her first pro title, beating Ena Shibahara 6-4, 6-7(1), 6-3 to win the ITF W100 event in Tokyo!
Very impressive from Sonobe. Such easy power on that lefty forehand. Shibahara has been playing so well and put up a great fight today but Sonobe was too good.
Ena Shibahara beats Aoi Ito 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(4) to make the final of the ITF W100 in Tokyo.
In the final she’ll face 17-year-old Wakana Sonobe, who beat Talia Gibson 7-5, 6-4 in her semifinal.
If Shibahara wins, it will be her biggest singles title, while Sonobe is competing in her first pro final!
