Please don’t spread misinformation. Tomahawks fly at low altitude. It’s climbing like a THAAD interceptor (we are out of interceptors).

It Wasn't Fascism All Along Conservatism was a distinct ideology but it is dead and it is not coming back.

"Conservatism is not merely dead, fascism has paraded the body around, peeled off its face, and is wearing it as a mask for its own amusement as it does a demented little dance." www.liberalcurrents.com/it-wasnt-fas...

There's a good amount of discussion about this in @zachweinersmith.bsky.social's "A City On Mars"

Does kinda seem like "the company is liable for anything the chatbot says" would be a good policy

That works a lot better with a well-functioning, affordable, and responsive legal system, which... isn't a trivial objection

Also, I dunno how you can call rice and beef, two of the most calorie dense foods out there, "low calorie"

YouTube needs this too, tbh

"Type in UPPER and LOWER case" is really throwing me off, tbh. Do you type it twice?

I don't see anything on Bloomberg, and this seems like something they'd do a push alert for if it was real. I don't believe it tbh, but we'll find out for sure with tomorrow's jobs report

TBH, this sounds like something you could vibe-code into existence, if you wanted to give it a shot

People really will say anything on this app, huh

They shouldn't do it anywhere, but doing it in the most pivotal swing state would be especially dumb

This is the best I've seen. I'm not clear on how much more evidence they'd need outside of the publicly-available video, but I'm not a lawyer

I've never understood why SS contributions can be maxed out for the year. Wonder if that was the original implementation, or if that was a Reagan era knee-capping

Trump promised peace, but has delivered war. For months, the Trump administration has escalated conflict in Venezuela with unconstitutional and illegal strikes, and lied to the American people. Now, Trump has committed the United States to running another country for the foreseeable future while Americans foot the bill for regime change.
Today, Trump finally said the quiet part out loud. The justification for this war isn’t about stemming the flow of drugs. This is about regime change. This is about enriching oil corporations and billionaires. Congress must immediately assert its constitutional authority over American military action—the same authority Trump’s own chief of staff said he needs.
This is the worst kind of betrayal from Trump. He committed the United States to an uncertain role in South America with an indeterminate timeline. As Trump’s influence over the country and the world wanes, he is ready and willing to endanger Americans and abandon the Constitution as a last-ditch effort to hold on to power and relevancy.

If there is, I'd be curious to hear it. That's not how I remember Ian Toll's Pacific War Trilogy handling it, at least

Truthfully, I don't understand why this would be controversial. No one argues that Putin's not in the chain of command for the Russian armed forces, and everyone agrees that they're at war. Were the Allies in the wrong to consider ways to assassinate Hitler during WWII?

Super weird to describe an identity based on ethnicity as being shared with someone on the other side of the world. "Regionally concentrated" is literally the defining characteristic of ethnicity lmao

As it is, it feels like thinly veiled complaining about my bitch wife, instead of a generally applicable life lesson

I don't think it's a bad core principle, but the example wouldn't ring the same alarm bells if it had another paragraph about how the person who doesn't care about bowls in the sink should just accept that their partner does care, and should try to put the bowl away because they love their partner

I could see them being like gendered nouns (hard for every language, because they're basically arbitrary and have to be relearned) or like tones (just having an ear for them makes a huge difference)

Only tangentially related, I wonder how much easier cases are to learn if you're coming at them from another language with cases?

22.11.2025 18:41 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0

Cases make a language so hard to learn, but they feel very elegant once you get a feel for them

It's objectively better, yet more humiliating

There's really no way to protect the people from themselves in a democracy, tbh

There's problems in the GOP, the media, and the Democratic establishment (in that order), but the fundamental problem is the moral rot in a citizenry that doesn't immediately reject a candidate like Trump

Greene could probably get a lot of Republicans to turn on Trump over Epstein, if she wanted to. It'd be a real crossing the Rubicon moment, but I think she has good odds tbh

As the situation in Pokrovsk becomes critical, and AFU reinforces the pocket to stabilize the flanks, there's considerable attention now to how this battle is unfolding. A few thoughts on the situation. 1/ (DeepStateMap)
