Q. Will the outfits be ranked?
A. No. Just like last year, the hosts will be categorizing the submissions based on the categories covered in the exhibit. Outfits will be grouped by concepts of Disguise, Respectability, Champion, Beauty, Cool, Heritage and Jook.
Q. Can I bring a plus one?
A. Of course! Just know that if you bring someone, either appear as a pair for one submission, or do separate submissions if you want to be judged individually.
Q. You said that the Met Gala is themed around Black Male fashion. Can a non-black person participate?
A. We encourage everyone to participate regardless of demographic. Cultural groups shouldn't be the only ones who care about their history and acheivement.
Q. What is the dress code?
A. The dress code is "Tailored to You" which nods towards menswear and suiting.
Q. What is the theme?
A. The theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, is the spring exhibit based on the history of Black menwear in the Americas.
Q. Why not a Google Form?
A. We want to promote people's art and ocs and that's easier to do by making public posts for us to boost!
Q. Where and how to submit art?
A. Make a post on Twitter or Bsky with the hashtag #VMetGala25 to submit.
Q. Who can participate?
A. Anyone who is an artist, vtuber, or oc-maker can submit an outfit/character design in accordance to the dress code.
Q. When/Where will this be held?
A. The event is on May 6th @ 7PM EST. It'll be held on Twitch by @cinnabellex.bsky.social , @subajelly.bsky.social and
