They're taking him off because of whatever specific measurements they value, and how much that athleticism, or lack thereof, shows up on tape.
The skillset is what seems to be the determine factor. That specific skillset usually comes with a consistent body type and measurements.
As @bmaafi.bsky.social pointed out, they want EDGEs that can defend the run. That usually requires a consistent size.
I think what a lot of people get wrong about the Packers' draft tendencies is how they use their 'types'
They do have preferences at each position. But aren't sitting there saying, 'Ah, we can't draft this EDGE because he's 2.5 pounds too short. Damn.'
