The lush green is contrasted with complementary red details in the animals , background flowers, and dress’s squares. Butterflies can see UV light, so we see greyed hazes of pinks and purple contrasted with neon yellow flowers on bushes. Despite it being busy, these contrasts and central figure create balance and focus, leaving the viewer time to discover the animals in the jungle. This was painted using Roussea’s Dream of 1910 as inspiration, as academic exercise.
