I'm right there with you! So many interruptions. And I swear they won't need me for a stretch and as soon as I put my AirPods in they are at my feet.

Emily Henry is the queen of the beach read so it's only appropriate that she penned a book with that title. I read her latest this summer and it was fantastic.

When I get stuck, I visualize myself talking to a close friend. How would I say what I want to say? That tends to take some pressure off of finding the "perfect" wording.

Not only do you not have to, you actually can't!

I highly recommend finishing this one. I listened as well and found that I had to slow the speed to 1.5 or 1.2 and only listen when I could actually focus. Hopefully you can get back in line at the library or snag it on audible (they often have great promos).

@monocleediting.bsky.social prompted me to recommend a "fun, low-stress book" and tag another copyeditor for theirs.
