A very Happy 15th of March to one and all.
Logo - the word 'promise'
Funders expect evidence of 'promise' (the intervention is likely to work) when considering whether to fund an RCT, pilot, or feasibility study. But there is no shared understanding of how we should do this. We have been funded by @nihr.bsky.social to develop guidance to help.
This cochrane review has been a long time in the makingβ¦ well done to the first author for getting it over the lineβ¦. Shows the real development of the field since the HTA Alexis Llewellyn and I did way back in 2013 doi.org/10.1002/1465...
Cheers for this Duolingo
We seem to be quite relaxedβ¦

A Christmas gift from me to my fellow word nerds:
Nine Christmas-related words with interesting etymologies, one for each of the nine letters of 'Christmas'!

Pleased to see this review out showing the limited data on what is an undoubtedly complex relationship between falls and delirium in older people. Not sure if any other authors are here yet, so no tagging academic.oup.com/ageing/artic...
Couldn't find a starter pack for the #EvidenceSynthesis community in health and care research and beyond so I created one.
If you're not on this and would like to be and/or have suggestions of others to add let me know. Or indeed if you know of a starter pack I've missed.

Slowly but surely the Innovation Observatory team are migrating to what has to be the most aptly named site for horizon scanning: I think we now have @drcokefloat.bsky.social , @niinamk.bsky.social and @fionabeyer.bsky.social

Iβm pretty sure this is not the approach recommended by management coaches
Forced on to twitter to figure out transpennine express randomness, idly checked our posts about our fabulous conference last week and the engagement was startlingly low; everyone was engaged on LinkedInβ¦.
