Why are you trafficking in this sort of malicious false premise? You can be better than this.

And the purpose of AI is revealed - you can bomb schools and nobody is responsible. The buck can be passed to an inhuman machine which it is impossible to punish.

“There is no evidence … that the U.S. military intentionally targeted the school.”

Is there a meaningful difference between “intentionally targeting a school” and “not caring if you target a school”?

Humans chose these targets, whatever tool they used. Those humans must be held accountable.

Do you know how easy it is to explain queerness to kids?

IT IS VERY SIMPLE ACTUALLY.

People love who they love. Other people's privates aren't our business.

The end.

Now explain global warming and how it started and why we haven't stopped it.

I firmly believe that many people like LLMs because they don't do that. And some people need that -- although it breaks my heart a little every time neurodivergent people talk about getting from LLMs what they don't get from the people around them -- and some people need to be told "JFC, NO".

Fooling people into thinking things prefaced with "BREAKING" are news feels like the equivalent of chatbots fooling people into thinking they're sentient just by using the pronoun "I".

Hegseth needs to stand trial after this as a war criminal. Between this attack and the girls' school, there's no ambiguity. He is responsible for mass murder and must be held accountable.

It is true that if your goal is to maximize the number of clicks on a given piece of content, you don't want to produce a 3,000-word piece. But maybe not everyone should be trying to maximize clicks! Maybe it's okay to target a smaller, more devoted audience. Indeed I've bet my entire career on it.

A ton of it is heavily incentivized wishful thinking, because we don't want to admit how much work, especially infrastructural and maintenance work, is involved in building even new things.

The Most Chilling Detail in the U.S. Attack on an Iranian Naval Ship The Iranian warship was taking part in an international exercise with many other countries—including the United States.

This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

Massively scaled organized gambling on real-world events, as Kalshi and Polymarket provide, should be straight up illegal. But they most *definitely* should not be allowed to market with and to minors.

*I* question the success of the military operation that killed 180 children.

It means all the emergent unspecified behavior will be slightly different every time, and that you’ll burn millions of times more energy generating new revisions of the software than it would ever use in regular operation.

That’s if things go well.

You're absolutely right—that was not a command post, that was an elementary school. Those were not military leaders—they were schoolchildren. I said the opposite, and that's on me.

The point of copyleft is to use copyright to fight back against the ills of copyright. So, as long as any software may be copyrighted, then they also should get to say how their software is re-used. I assume they would also object to me publishing a derivative of Linux to the public domain.

PEPFAR, the program to stop hundreds of thousands of children and adults from dying of HIV/AIDS, was $6.5 billion a year.

I know that the people who need to read this aren’t here, but here goes:

Rules of engagement aren’t for the enemy. They’re for you. They’re for your soldiers when they’re captured or wounded. They’re for your civilians when they’re in range of the enemy. They’re for your allies, to reassure.

No matter what you think about the issues in the Middle East, there is no serious case that the current war with Iran has any chance to improve the situation. Meanwhile, thousands of people have already been killed in our name, including hundreds of children, and those numbers will only grow.

Folks who say “LLMs are useless” are rarely being literal. I’m sure they would admit that LLMs are useful for lots of negative things! The hyperbole of the language is a response to the AI companies who promise the opposite: that white collar workers are doomed and AI will solve every problem.

When someone says „Scientists do not want you to know“ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.

Apparently Minnesota police officers are “afraid they might get arrested or something worse” if they intervene when ICE agents are doing crimes. Meanwhile they let thousands of unpaid, unarmed Minnesotans go ahead and intervene instead. Their cowardice is breathtaking

Polymarket has created a betting market on the use of nuclear weapons. Everyone involved in this should be put in prison for life.

This is all so messed up. If the actual goal had been to secure some concession from Iran, then announcing a plan to evacuate Americans from the region ahead of time would have been an excellent incentivizer. But instead, our surprise attack surprised even ourselves, apparently.

Shame on you for continuing to act like this is normal. You shouldn’t be writing pieces like this. This is not news, and it utterly fails to honestly analyze what’s happening or inform anyone.
