The other aspect of this story is, academics and NHS staff could and would have done this better and essentially for free if they were given the same data access as Faculty, but they are not allowed it. Government policy is deliberately to frustrate pro bono / non-profit health data research.
Please share the Youth Gender Diversity PSP survey with your colleagues, patients, and their carers so their questions about gender dysphoria/incongruence are heard and represented in the future. Survey now open: buff.ly/CRZUinI
Amid fierce criticism, I spoke to critics & triallists about the puberty blocker trial, putting methodological & ethical concerns to researchers & Hilary Cass for @bmj.com. They describe clinical context, challenge criticism & say studies are necessary. (open access)

No one understands the issues related to gender diversity better than those with lived experience, their parents/carers and the professionals who work with them.

Great new study by on behavioural aspects of ventilation in hospitality venues. Many monitored venues had poor ventilation, but hosts list many barriers to improve - tho some venues attempt to improve following info campaign.
let's see why it's not always simple to ⬆️ ventilation:
or a new study shows that either, or a combination of:
▪️reduced viral emission (bcos air cleaner added several days later from initial readings)
▪️changes to window ventilation
▪️presence of an air cleaner
see below for fag packet calc to show it can't all be due to air cleaner...

Indeed increased awareness & improved detection.. there is a debate to be had re resourcing long waiting lists for broader neurodivergence assessments vs identifying needs for early intervention/support.
Ultimately children's services are always the cinderella of services, particular after pandemic
I do think the majority of public can see through fake causes and fake cures, if enough scientists/ clinicians call it out...
Problem is how can the most vulnerable families and children be safe guarded?
