damn i just realized the denim jacket i got is not the finish i wanted but i only realized that directly after removing the tag and washing it for the first time 😑
we had so much in common like. we talked about having ptsd and other mental health stuff and pride etc and discovered that we’re visiting the same place in nj this july. very cool
went to the bank and the task took 5 minutes and the banker and i spent 20 minutes just chatting
also literally just being nice to service workers is always going to be wayyyy more productive than being mean. i got a discount at sprouts yesterday because the cashier and i chatted about clothes shopping #winning
everyone always complains about it but i love talking about the weather because it opens a conversation so easily and is something everyone experiences + usually has an opinion on + is highly affected by etc etc
i’m so glad i’m good at small talk now because it used to make me so stressed
i like the cold but weather changes this abrupt put me in pain
the temperature is dropping 40 degrees in 12 hours today 😐

also i who have never known men. read it with my friends and most of them hated it because of the very bleak ending but i enjoyed it 😭
i think my favorites were braiding sweetgrass and giovanni’s room. shoutouts to ghosts of the tsunami and the country will bring us no peace
also i hit my reading goal for this year! i wanted to read 10 new books and i’ve reached 13 (possibly 14 if i finish the one i’m reading now). not a lot to some people but it’s more than i’ve read in years so i’m proud of myself :) i think i’ll try for 20 for 2026…
i’m giving my best friend her christmas gifts today and i hope she likes them 😭 it makes me so nervous even though i know she’s not a judgmental person

apparently people have already started receiving acceptances to the program so i’m on edge about it
i had to add my email to my screen blocker app because i keep compulsively checking it and it’s making me anxious :|
