A post from the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas: Last week, Girl Scouts of the USA posthumously bestowed upon Amerie Jo Garza, 10, of Uvalde, Texas, one of the highest honors in Girl Scouting: the Bronze Cross. The Bronze Cross is awarded for saving or attempting to save life at the risk of the Girl Scout’s own life. Two pictures are below the caption. One is a framed certificate of the award, with a green Girl Scout sash with the cross pinned to it draped over the frame. The other picture is a candid shot of a little girl with long, black hair, bright eyes, and a huge smile. Under that is a comment by Corrosive Rabbit: Kind of says something about where America is, when the Girl Scouts are awarding posthumous medals for bravery under fire.

Ten members of St. Clare’s Episcopal Church stand around Fr. Rob, the vicar. Most are wearing black shirts that say “I am Sacred” in rainbow letters. The rest are in decidedly “gay” apparel, with Fr.
