Generally feeling a bit discouraged about writing. This year was least acceptances I’ve gotten since I started submitting. Didn’t submit a lot. We’ll see what next year brings. Got to adjust my thinking and be grateful for any acceptances. Most don’t make it that far.

I finally got into the Murderbot books. My wife really likes them. I’ve been listening to them on my commute. So far Network Effect and Exit Strategy have clicked with me the most. As an extreme extrovert some of this character and humor does not resonate with me. But I get why it does for others.

On Atlas’ Shoulders is a massively under appreciated contemporary Epic Heavy Metal band. The debut was a masterpiece. The 2nd album was a bit more mid but the third album is such a return to form.
Speaking of heroism…been listening to the audiobook of Redwall. It’s been 30 years since I read it as a kid. It holds up. So wholesome and heroic.
Target is selling these again in a hardback edition of the first three. I should pick it up.

I was never a DnD fan. I didn’t actively play until some friends got into it in our 30s. I’ve been enjoying RA Salvatore’s books. Just started Legacy of the Drow. I’m 30 years late to the Forgotten Realms party. But I definitely understand the attachment and am starting to develop it.
