Hereβs a total revamp of my Dark Scorpion nebula, yes itβs still cloudy. I was testing the new MAS in PixInsight to see how well it works for dark nebulae and it seems to work really well for bringing out that extra dust and nebulosity and maintaining the colours. π #astrophotography

Sh2-136 the Ghost Nebula
I forgot I had this data. Clouds and boredom made me go back and review some of my old stuff and I came across this. Itβs only a few hours of what was supposed to be a multi-night project. Obviously I got sidetracked by something new and shiny. #astrophotography π

What can I say? Iβm truly surprised and honoured, thank you.

Hereβs one if never shot before.
NGC 1499, the California Nebula is a bright emission nebula located in the constellation Perseus.
The nights are getting colder, time to crank the dew heaters to max!

Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon.
Happy to finally capture this one.
From my location it was tough to get a good view.
I set my alarm for 4am and took my rig and dog out in the back of the field that is our yard just as the comet climbed above the tree line.

IC 63, the Ghost of Cassiopeia!
Itβs getting close to Halloween so what better night sky object to shoot than a spooky space ghost.
This started as a test run utilizing a new change to my setup and I think Iβm liking it so far

Say ahh! Looking inside the mouth of the Clamshell nebula.
I processed this so many different ways with different variations of colour combinations that it was hard just to post one. Maybe Iβll do a montage later.

This is NGC 7129, the Cosmic Rosebud cluster and NGC 7142, upper left, an open cluster swimming in a Red Sea of Ha.
A combination of 18 hrs split between the Antlia quad filter and my L-eXtreme and was shot within days of the full moon.

This is my image of NGC 281, a bright emission nebula in the constellation Cepheus.
The Pac-Man Nebula was my target for the one solid clear night we had at the NYAA Starfest this year. Iβm glad everything worked smoothly because I was able to get 6 quality hours on this one.

I was hoping for at least two more nights on this guy but that hasnβt happened yet so I thought Iβd post what I have for now. I believe itβs coming along nicely though.
Here is vdB 152 aka Wolfβs Cave, or as some have called it, the Penguin. Just another dark nebula from the constellation Cepheus. π

NGC 4565 Is a very sharp looking galaxy that goes by many common names like the Needle Galaxy, Flying Saucer and Berniceβs Hair Clip. Iβm sure thereβs probably others too.
